Yes, after a check and service of the existing gate to check it moves freely, the majority of existing gates can be automated.

 Electric automated gates have photocells that stop or reverse the gate’s movement when the beam is broken dependent on the settings. 

As well as the motor locking the gates in place other locks can be used such as magnetic locks, floor-mounted disc locks and electric strike locks.

You can manually release the gates or we can supply batteries that overide and run the gates to a safe position until power is restored.

A service every 6 months is recommended to keep electric gates to keep them running smoothly and ensure they are still compliant with regulations.

Yes, access control systems can be installed to new or exisitng electric gates such as biometric, intercoms, RFID tags, keypads, fobs and ANPR (number plate recognition).
